Space Clearing or Attunement is the art of cleansing a space energetically and is a specialist area of Feng Shui.
We learn in high school chemistry class that the building blocks of ALL matter (including human bodies) are ATOMS. No one disputes this fact. Nor does anyone dispute that atoms are made of ENERGY. Einstein further emphasized this point with his Theory of Relativity wherein he developed the famous formula, Energy = Mass times the speed of Light squared.
These particles are constantly moving and vibrating in a resonating pattern of inaudible sound. Our emotions, words and actions, positive or negative create ripples - like a stone on the surface of a pond - that permeates throughout a space and effect the vibrations of these particles.
Over a period of time these vibrations are "memorised" into the very fabric of the building itself. Negative energy has a dense, heavy vibration and gets stuck in nooks and crannies, corners and around the edges of a room. A very tangible effect of this is often felt just after an argument has taken place. The atmosphere in the room feels thick and heavy, hence the saying 'you could have cut the air with a knife'. Also notice that should someone start laughing, that the tension is instantly broken and the heaviness lifts to make space for feelings of lightness and release.
Children are often very sensitive to negative or stuck energy and often expresses this as being afraid of the monster in the closet or under the bed - all places where negative energy can collect. Hoarding, filth and clutter is often attracted to the lower vibrational level of negative energy and is often a good indcation of where energy has stagnated.
